Obituary: LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Leora B. Falcon, 76, the former Leora Bearb of the Judice Community, who passed away at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette after a brief illness.

Obituary: Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Obituary: The Rev. Gilbert Dutel, pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Scott, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Obituary: Giftbearers will be Connor Falcon, Connie Duhon, Lois Theriot and Gloria Yannone.

Obituary: Eulogist will be Grant Falcon.

Obituary: Readers will be Grant Falcon and Michele Guidry.

Obituary: Valerie Andrus, organist, will sing for the service, "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" and "You'll Never Walk Alone".

Obituary: Born June 9, 1929, Mrs. Falcon was a native of Bristol and a resident of Judice for 45 years. She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott.

Obituary: A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, affectionately known as "Mom", was always the first to offer love, comfort and support. She gave unwavering encouragement and hope to those who needed it. Mrs. Falcon enjoyed attending her husband's cajun band gigs while visiting with their friends. Her greatest joy was caring and spoiling her grandsons.

Obituary: Always ready to serve you rather than be served, she was unselfish in never wanting anyone to fuss over her. Family and friends are blessed for having had her be a part of their lives. She will be sadly missed, but forever remembered by the many lives that she tenderly touched.

Obituary: Survivors include her husband, Anthony Falcon, of Judice Community; two sons, Larry Falcon, of Alexandria, and Tony Falcon and his wife, Janet, of Lafayette; one daughter, Beatrice "Bea" Falcon Bearb and her husband, Jim Bearb, of Lafayette; two grandsons, Grant Falcon and Connor Falcon, of Lafayette; two brothers, Aurelien "Bill" Bearb Sr., of Holly Beach, and Doris Bearb, of Judice Community; and three sisters, Elvia Boudreaux, of Elizabeth, Amelia Falcon, of Holly Beach, and Freda Lagneaux, of Judice Community.

Obituary: She was preceded in death by her parents, Eurice "Jack" Bearb and the former Emelia Semar, both natives of Church Point; and two brothers, Cleveland Bearb and Horace Bearb.

Obituary: A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Friday in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Obituary: The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8 a.m. today until time of service.

Obituary: Pallbearers will be Tony Falcon, Grant Falcon, Connor Falcon, Jim Bearb, Bradley Lavergne and Mike Zaunbrecher.

Obituary: Honorary pallbearers will be Aurelien "Bill" Bearb Sr., Doris Bearb, Doyce Lagneaux, John Viator, Robert Falcon, Ricky Bearb, Derek Guidry and Miles Guidry.
